Many of you may already know that we are getting ready to celebrate the 91st year of our Republic on the evening of Saturday, November 1st at the Scottish Cultural Centre (8886 Hudson St, Vancouver, BC V6P 4N2). We are excited to let you know that we are planning a fun, memorable evening once again filled with culture, art, live Turkish music, delicious Turkish food from Lara Cuisine and many surprises. The tickets will be available for sale next week. You will have the opportunity to either buy them online or through our ticket volunteers.

As part of our Turkish Republic celebration we will be raising the Turkish flag to Istiklal Marsi (The Turkish Natonal Anthem). This ceremony will take place at Vancouver’s City Hall (12th Ave and Cambie St) on the afternoon of Nov 1st at 12 noon.

We are happy to announce that the newly appointed Turkish Ambassador to Canada, Selcuk Unal has agreed to join us and meet the Turkish Community in Vancouver.
